Building your own personal brand through Tiktok

A couple of days ago I saw a great post on LinkedIn which said that:

👇 if you’re under 35 years old, then you’re probably well equipped to leverage social media in your professional life

☝️ if you’re over 55 years old, then you likely have enough momentum in your career to not need it

👉 if you’re aged between 35 and 55 (like me!), then social media may not be your natural advantage, but using it to build a strong personal brand certainly can become your competitive advantage.

This keynote by Gary Vaynerchuk is about how real estate professionals need to build their own personal brand and it specifically recommends TikTok.

I am open to trying new things, so I’ve set up a TikTok account for CRE Success.

I’m still figuring it out and I am NOT planning on posting my dance moves…but that’s not all it is.

More people are sharing useful information on the platform and now could be an opportunity to gain first-mover advantage before it becomes saturated like Facebook and Instagram.

TikTok users post more entertaining content than people do on other social networks and that should be good motivation for when you create your own posts – because even posts on LinkedIn shouldn’t be boring!
